The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Novo Theatre is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Technical specifications
Accessibility of Novo Theatre relies on the following technologies to work with the combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:
HTML
WAI-ARIA
CSS
JavaScript
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
Known limitations
Novo Theatre’s website is built using Squarespace CMS. Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of the website, there are some areas that do not currently meet the WCAG 2.2 level AA guidelines. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below. These include:
Video playback - some controls may have insufficient colour contrast for some users.
Link names - some link names may not be accessible by a screen reader and be descriptive enough to tell a user where that link will take them. The set up of the news section does not allow us to customise the ‘Read more’ link text to read the full news story.
Some of the ID attributes or labels use the same value, assisttive technologies may skip over the secon instance or be unable to recognise the difference between the two elements causing misinterpretation of content or functionality for users.
Redundant links - due to the limitations of the Squarespace CMS there may be instances of redundant links where adjacent links go to the same location.
