An Intergalactic Mission Takes Flight

Audiences stepped into a work-in-progress that transformed young explorers into heroes on an urgent intergalactic rescue mission: guiding a lost alien back home through the stars.

The project began with playwright Lisette leading school workshops exploring friendship and belonging. These conversations with children sparked the script that would become their adventure. Designer Amy Watts then reimagined the school gym as the alien's crash-landed spacecraft—a discovery that turned an ordinary playground into the site of an extraordinary encounter.

Small groups of children and families entered a multi-sensory world where, alongside their alien companion, they navigated challenges and emotions through play, uncovering what it means to be a friend and the power of helping others.

To have that work so valued that it’s turned into a professional theatre show just for them is so valuable.
