Salt and Smoke; Stories of Blyth

Blyth town centre will come alive with a vibrant programme of free events, mini festivals, live performances, hands-on activities and creative experiences for all ages – all part of Blyth Celebrates. The programme runs from August 2025 - March 2026. From a giant inflatable sculpture and a vintage market to a lantern parade, a fire garden and pop-up cinema events, there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy.

We’re delighted to bring Salt and Smoke; Stories of Blyth in September. Small groups will take part in an immersive walking tour filled with live storytelling and unforgettable characters that reveal Blyth’s past, present, and future.

Booking details will be released soon, this is a free event.

Salt and Smoke; Stories of Blyth is part of the Energising Blyth regeneration programme. It’s delivered by Northumberland County Council with funding from the UK Government, Northumberland County Council, and the North East Combined Authority.
